Winter: January to early March
Three events that suit a long weekend away from the cold. Cavallino and Amelia have announced 2027 dates; Mecum's January dates are listed by the venue and ticket sellers but not yet confirmed by Mecum.
Mecum Kissimmee
Mecum Auctions (opens in a new tab)A collector-car auction rather than a judged show, with thousands of cars on site. Mecum has quoted about 4,500 vehicles for recent January sales. The 2027 dates come from the venue listing and ticket listings rather than Mecum, so confirm them at mecum.com.
Suits: Anyone who wants to see a huge mix of cars in one place, plus buyers and sellers.
Tip: Look at the day-by-day schedule on Mecum's site and plan around the days the cars you care about cross the block.
Cavallino Classic (Palm Beach)
Cavallino Classic (opens in a new tab)A Ferrari-only concorso that mixes judging with social events. The organiser also runs Cavallino editions in Italy and the Middle East.
Suits: Ferrari owners and enthusiasts.
Tip: Check on the event site which sessions are open to spectators before you buy tickets or book a hotel.
The Amelia Concours d'Elegance
The Amelia (opens in a new tab)A concours weekend with Best of Show awards in two categories, Concours d'Elegance and Concours de Sport, plus an auction and a Sunday Cars & Caffeine at The Golf Club of Amelia Island. The 2026 field had 275 entrants.
Suits: Concours fans and collectors; the Sunday Cars & Caffeine is the easier way in for a casual visitor.
Tip: The main show day was Saturday in 2026, not the traditional Sunday, so check which day the show field is open in 2027.
Twice-a-year events
These two run in spring and again in the fall, so you get a second chance if you miss one.
Daytona Turkey Run
Turkey Run (opens in a new tab)A car show, swap meet and car corral in one. The organiser claims over 5,000 collector cars and over 2,000 swap-meet vendors.
Suits: Street rodders, parts hunters, and buyers and sellers.
Tip: Tickets were priced per day in 2026, so decide how many days you need before you book a hotel.
Emerald Coast Cruizin'
Emerald Coast Cruizin' (opens in a new tab)An automotive festival founded in 2005 for classic, hot rod, street rod, exotic and muscle cars. The organiser describes thousands of show cars and trucks, a vendor midway and concerts.
Suits: Anyone who wants a beach-town weekend built around cars.
Tip: The organiser lists spectator tickets per day, with under-12s free, and sells them online as well as at the gate.
October
Lake Mirror Classic
Lake Mirror Classic (opens in a new tab)A concours and classic-car festival: a Hot Rod Rendezvous on Friday evening, a Concours d'Elegance and a Downtown Classic Car Show on Saturday, and a non-competitive Sunday Road Tour. It raises money for Lakeland and Polk County charities.
Suits: Visitors who want a concours, a street show and a drive in one weekend.
Tip: Show cars enter by per-vehicle donation; check the event site for how spectators attend.
Dates and details change
Organisers move dates, venues and prices from year to year, and some events are cancelled. “2027 date announced” (green) means the organiser's own site had published the date when this page was last checked. “2027 date listed, confirm with organiser” means the date comes from trade press or third-party listings, not the organiser. “2027 date to be confirmed” means no 2027 date had been published, and the page only describes the usual pattern. Always confirm with the organiser using the link on each listing before you book travel. Mecum Kissimmee is an auction, so what is on the field depends on that year's consignments.
