Biggest Car Shows in Canada in 2027
Canadian car culture runs on short seasons, so the calendar splits in two: big indoor shows through the winter and spring, then outdoor shows, concours and rallies from June to September. This guide covers the main events for 2027, says what kind of event each is, and flags which dates are announced and which are still to come.
First, a distinction that trips people up. The Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto and the Vancouver International Auto Show are consumer new-car shows, where manufacturers display current models and visitors take test drives. They are large and worth a visit, but they are not the same as a show of classics, customs and hot rods. We list them because many people search for them, and we say which is which below.
The Canadian International AutoShow, presented by the Toronto Star, is listed on its own site for February 12 to 21, 2027 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, with Media Day on February 11. The organiser says the 2026 edition set an attendance record of nearly 375,000 visitors. The Vancouver International Auto Show returns between March 31 and April 4, 2027, according to the organiser; it describes the 2026 show as concluded with a record 139,991 attendees. It is held at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
For custom cars, Motorama is the one to know. It is billed as a custom car and motorsports expo at the International Centre near Toronto's Pearson airport, with club displays, a racing zone and a Saturday evening event. The 2027 show is listed for March 12 to 14, with Friday and Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. In Calgary, the World of Wheels is a long-running indoor show; the 58th edition ran March 27 to 29, 2026 at the BMO Centre on Stampede Park, and 2027 details were not yet listed by the show series at time of writing.
Outdoors, the summer starts with the Ottawa Ferrari Festival, which turns Preston Street in Little Italy into a display of Ferraris and classic Italian cars. Ottawa Tourism lists the 2027 festival for summer, with exact dates not yet announced. In Ontario's Simcoe County, the Canadian Festival of Old Cars at the Simcoe County Museum in Minesing is a two-day celebration of vehicles from 1942 and earlier. The museum says it is a repeating event; the 2026 edition ran August 22 and 23, and 2027 dates were not yet listed.
For concours, the Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance and Motoring Festival is the main one in Ontario. It is held at Cobble Beach Golf Resort near Owen Sound, with a Tour d'Elegance on Friday, Cars and Coffee on Saturday and the Concours on Sunday. The organiser lists September 17 to 19, 2027, and says net proceeds support the Sunnybrook Foundation and the Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation. And for something completely different, Targa Newfoundland is a tarmac rally on public roads, with competitive classes and a non-competitive Targa Tour. It is an autumn event; its organisers had not published 2027 dates at time of writing.
Planning tips. For the indoor shows, check the opening hours for each day before you go. For the summer outdoor events, check whether your own car can enter, because some, like the Old Cars festival, only accept certain eras and require advance registration. If you are planning a Cobble Beach weekend, book lodging early. Bring layers for spring and fall shows, and check each organizer's site closer to the date for tickets and parking.
