Biggest Car Shows in the UK in 2027

The UK car calendar runs from a January Scramble at Bicester Motion to a November indoor show in Birmingham, with the big concours and festivals packed into the summer. This guide covers the main events for 2027, says what kind of event each one is, and is clear about which dates have been announced and which have not.

A quick note on types, because they get mixed up. Goodwood's two big events and the BRDC Classic are motorsport-led: there is a lot to see besides the racing, but the track is the main attraction. The Concours of Elegance and Salon Privé are judged concours. The NEC show and the Beaulieu Autojumble are indoor and outdoor shows built around clubs, traders and parts. The rest are gatherings where the cars in the car park are half the point.

Goodwood Festival of Speed is a motorsport and motoring festival in the grounds of Goodwood House near Chichester, West Sussex, built around a hillclimb up the driveway. Goodwood has announced 15 to 18 July 2027. Tickets were not yet on sale when we last checked, but you can sign up for ticket alerts on the Goodwood site. Goodwood Revival, presented by Dunlop, is the same venue's historic racing event at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, centred on cars from 1948 to 1966 and on period dress. Goodwood has announced 17 to 19 September 2027.

Silverstone's summer historic weekend is now listed on Silverstone's own events page as the BRDC Classic. If you remember it as the Silverstone Classic, or more recently the Silverstone Festival, this is the same July slot under a new name. Silverstone lists the BRDC Classic for 23 to 25 July 2027. It is a historic motor racing event first, so treat it as a race meeting with displays rather than a pure car show. Silverstone also hosts Japfest, billed by its organisers as the biggest Japanese car show in Europe. The 2026 edition ran on 19 April; no 2027 date was listed at time of writing.

For concours, there are two big September events close together. The Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace has announced Friday 3 to Sunday 5 September 2027. Its organisers describe more than 60 of the world's rarest cars, plus classes for club cars, cars owned and driven by women, and cars owned by enthusiasts aged 30 and under. Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace has announced 1 to 5 September 2027, Wednesday to Sunday, on the South Lawn. It describes itself as the UK's only professionally judged multi-marque concours, and it also has a judged sales concours. The two overlap, so you will need to choose or split your weekend.

For clubs, traders and parts, the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC Birmingham is billed as the UK's biggest indoor classic car show. The 2026 edition runs 13 to 15 November across seven halls, with more than 3,000 cars and bikes and more than 320 clubs according to the organisers' 2026 listing. No 2027 dates had been published at time of writing. Beaulieu's International Autojumble in Hampshire held its 59th edition on 12 and 13 September 2026; 2027 dates had not been announced. Beaulieu also runs a long calendar of single-marque Simply events and club rallies through the season, and its 2026 list went from late April to late November. Look out for the 2027 programme.

For something more relaxed, the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional at Grimsthorpe Castle near Bourne in Lincolnshire celebrates the everyday cars that once filled British roads. Hagerty lists 17 July 2027, with tickets on sale and concours entries open. At Bicester Motion in Oxfordshire, the Scramble is a Sunday gathering of members' cars from prewar specials to modern performance cars, with displays and a heritage trail. The next one is Sunday 10 January 2027, according to the Bicester Motion site. CarFest is different again: a family fundraising festival presented by bp that combines cars with live music and food. Its site lists 27 to 29 August 2027 at Silverstone Circuit.

Planning tips. Treat announced dates as firm and anything else as a guess. For events with no 2027 date yet, the usual month is a reasonable planning guide, but do not book non-refundable travel until the organiser confirms. Book accommodation early around the late-summer concours weekends, and check each organiser's own site for tickets, parking and what a ticket includes. If you want to enter a car, read the entry rules first: concours entries are typically by invitation or selection, and many club shows have a closing date well before the event.
