Biggest Car Shows in Ireland in 2027

Many of Ireland's car shows are summer events held in showgrounds, racecourses and parks. Many have not published their 2027 dates yet, so this guide is honest about what is confirmed and what is a pattern from previous years. We cover events across the island, and we say where one is in Northern Ireland.

ClassicFest is a vintage and classic vehicle show at Galway Racecourse. Its own site lists Sunday 7 June 2026 for the most recent edition. A Galway tourism listing gives Sunday 6 June 2027 for the next one, but marks the date as to be confirmed, so treat it as likely rather than firm. The listing describes cars, motorcycles, tractors, trucks and steam engines, a food village, live music, trade stalls and an autojumble, with a charity page on its site.

The Kilbroney Vintage Show at Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor, County Down, is in Northern Ireland. It is organised by Newry Lions Club and a volunteer committee, with profits going to local charities. The 2026 show was on Saturday 20 June, and the organisers call it Europe's largest classic vehicle show. Their 2026 rules capped pre-registration at 1,000 entries and accepted only vehicles registered on or before 2001. No 2027 date was listed at time of writing.

In Dublin, the Bohernabreena Classic Car Show takes place at the showgrounds at Bohernabreena in the Dublin Mountains, just off the M50. The 2026 show was on Sunday 19 July, from 11:00 to 16:00, with hundreds of vintage and classic cars, traders, a craft fair and a carnival area. No 2027 date was listed. In West Cork, the Clonakilty Vintage Car Show at the Showgrounds in Clonakilty was listed for 2 August in 2026, with club displays and best-in-show competitions.

Japfest is a Japanese car show at Mondello Park in County Kildare, billed by its organisers as the biggest Japanese car show in Ireland. Event listings put the 2026 show on 26 April, with drifting alongside the car show. No 2027 date had been announced. The European Motor Show at the RDS in Dublin is a consumer motoring show covering new cars, technology, motorsport and some classics, rather than a pure car show. Its first edition was on 31 January and 1 February 2026, and organisers have been reported to be returning on 30 and 31 January 2027, but we could not confirm that on an official page.

Cannonball Ireland is a charity supercar convoy rather than a static show. The 2026 edition ran from 11 to 13 September, starting at Johnstown Estate in County Kildare and finishing in Kilkenny, with free family festivals along the way. It raises money for Ronald McDonald House. There is no 2027 date yet, but its September slot has been consistent in recent years.

Planning tips. Irish shows can move: Japfest, for example, was held in October in 2022 and in April in 2026, so check the date before you book ferries or flights. For summer shows, weather can change plans, so keep your tickets flexible and pack for rain. If you want to enter a car, read the entry rules first. Some shows, like Kilbroney, have an entry cap and an age cut-off, and entries can close well ahead of the day.
