Corvette Shows in the USA 2027: Major Events and Tips

Corvette owners are lucky: the car has enough of a following that there are national gatherings, regional shows and club events all year. They also differ a lot in style. Some are relaxed parking-lot gatherings, while others have judges with clipboards looking for factory-correct details. Here are the main events that have announced 2027 dates, and what to know about each.

Corvettes at Carlisle, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Carlisle Events lists the 2027 show for August 26 to 28 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, and describes it as the largest and most fun-filled Corvette event in the world. The 2026 show set a record with 3,239 registered Corvettes, according to LSX Magazine, and more than 400 Corvettes joined the Saturday evening parade and street party. The 2027 event page lists a Chip's Choice display celebrating 40 years of Callaway Corvettes, a display for the 50th anniversary of the 1977 Corvette, a People's Choice contest, a concours-judged showfield with cash prizes, club contests, autocross fun laps and a Friday dinner on August 27 supporting the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation. For the wider Carlisle calendar, see /discover/blog/carlisle-car-shows-2027.

NCRS National Convention, French Lick, Indiana. The National Corvette Restorers Society lists its 2027 convention for August 1 to 5, with the French Lick Springs Hotel and Convention Center as host hotel. Registration dates had not been announced at time of writing. This is the event for serious judging. According to NCRS, owners can bring cars for Flight Judging, which scores originality and condition, Performance Verification, which checks that components work as they did when new, Open Class Judging for stock or custom cars from 1953 to the present, or a Sportsman Display for stock-appearing cars driven to events.

National Corvette Museum events, Bowling Green, Kentucky. Search listings for the museum's own pages show the Michelin NCM Bash for April 22 to 24, 2027, with road tours, technical sessions and a museum-judged car show, and a museum anniversary event for September 2 to 4, 2027. These dates come from search listings rather than the museum's own announcement, so check corvettemuseum.org for the current dates and registration.

Regional shows. Many Corvette clubs run annual shows, and some are quite large. The Myrtle Beach Corvette Club lists its 30th annual Corvettes at the Beach show for June 5, 2027, with registration opening January 18, 2027. The Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club runs Corvettes in Paradise, a Corvette-only show, but no 2027 dates had been published at time of writing, so check the club's website. It is also unclear whether Corvette Funfest in Effingham, Illinois will run in 2027, so check with the organiser before planning around it.

How is a Corvette show judged? It depends on the event. A concours or NCRS-style show scores originality and condition against a standard, and a car that is perfect for one purpose may score poorly for another. A People's Choice contest is decided by visitors' votes, so presentation and personality count. Club shows often use a mix, with classes by generation (C1 through C8), plus special awards. Read the entry rules for the event, and ask whether it is judged on originality or on overall appearance.

Tips for entrants. Register early, because popular events and parades sell out, and pre-registration discounts often end before the show. Know your car's story, and carry documentation such as build sheets and receipts if the event is judged on originality. Clean the car the day before, and bring a cleaning kit and a folding chair. Check the rules about trailer parking and display areas.

Tips for visitors. Most Corvette events have a flea market or vendor area for parts and memorabilia, and many have seminars from experts, so look at the schedule. Bring comfortable shoes, water and a camera. Talk to owners, because they are usually glad to explain what they have done. If you are shopping for a Corvette, see /discover/blog/barrett-jackson-scottsdale-2027 for a major auction, and for the Mustang side of the hobby, see /discover/blog/mustang-shows-usa-2027.

A practical way to pick events is by what you want from a show. If you want a big, social, family-friendly weekend with seminars and a parade, a large gathering such as Corvettes at Carlisle fits. If you want your car examined by people who know every detail of it, the NCRS convention and its judging formats are built for that. If you want a one-day local show with less travel, a club event close to home may be the best fit. Look at the entry rules and deadlines early, and talk to other owners, since club members are usually the best source of advice on which events suit your car and how it will be judged.
