Most of New York's big shows are upstate and fall between May and September. Manhattan's new-car show in spring is the other big date.

Upstate: the long weekends
Syracuse has announced 2027; the other two follow a yearly pattern.
Syracuse Nationals
Syracuse Nationals (opens in a new tab)Vehicles from across the U.S. and Canada plus music, food and entertainment. The organiser calls it the largest car show in the Northeast, though its page gives no attendance or vehicle counts. Children 12 and under are free.
Suits: Hot rod, custom and classic fans who want a big, long weekend.

Adirondack Nationals
Adirondack Nationals (opens in a new tab)The organiser, Albany Rods & Kustoms, calls it Upstate New York's premier muscle car show. It began in 1988 as a by-invitation show with 268 cars and now averages about 1,500. Night cruises send registered cars around a closed loop in the village.
Suits: Muscle-car and hot rod fans, and anyone who likes a lakeside town.
Tip: Show-car registration for 2027 opens February 1.
Saratoga Automobile Museum show season
Saratoga Automobile Museum (opens in a new tab)A run of one-day shows through the summer: in 2026 these included Cars on Union, a Porsche show, a Corvette show, Supercars in the Park, British Motorfest and a Pontiac–Oakland–GMC show. Only the Spring Auto Show is labelled annual on the museum's page.
Suits: Marque owners and anyone who wants a smaller, themed show.

Downstate and the city
One classic show on Long Island and one new-car show in Manhattan.
TOBAY Beach Spring Classic (Car Show Long Island)
Town of Oyster Bay (opens in a new tab)Billed as Long Island's largest car show. News12 reported 1,000 classic cars in 2026, with live music, food trucks and vendors.

New York International Auto Show
NY Auto Show (opens in a new tab)A new-vehicle show with displays from automakers worldwide, not a classic-car show. We include it because many people looking for car shows in New York are looking for this one.
Suits: New-car shoppers and people who want to see the latest designs.
Tip: Official opening day is Saturday, March 27; early-access ticket holders enter at 9 a.m.
Dates and details change
