Find your registration by name, and fewer tabs to manage

Find My Registrations used to work by email only — no help if an entrant forgot which address they used, or a spouse signed up on their behalf. The public lookup page now also searches by first and last name. That wasn't a straight loosening of the rules, though: a name is public information anyone at the show could know, so the lookup API requires email AND first name AND last name together, never a name search on its own — closing the gap rather than opening a new one. We also added a "Find my registration" link to every show's public page footer, next to the register/results/vendor links, so entrants can actually find the feature from where they'd naturally look for it.

Awards got easier to set up ahead of time, too. Previously you had to name a winner the moment you created an award, which meant either waiting for judging to finish or creating placeholder awards you'd have to edit later. Now you can create an award — Best in Show, People's Choice, whatever your show gives out — without picking a winner, and assign or reassign one later, inline from the Awards tab list, once judging wraps up.

If you check the completed-show Summary tab after the fact, it now shows average, shortest, and longest time between when an entry checked in and when it was marked parked. It's a small number but a useful one — an 18-minute average check-in-to-park time tells you something concrete about gate staffing and flow for next year, instead of just a gut feeling that "check-in felt slow."

The bigger structural change this week: organizers running a simple local cruise-in — no vendors, no sponsors, no paid spectator tickets — no longer have to look at tabs for features they don't use. Edit Show now has "Paid spectators" and "Sponsors" toggles alongside the existing vendor applications one, and the whole Commercial section of the sidebar disappears automatically once nothing in it is switched on. Existing shows keep everything turned on by default, new shows start with these off, and turning Paid Spectators off blocks the public checkout page too, not just the dashboard tab.

And if you'd rather watch than read: /discover/guides now has a 13-episode video tutorial series walking through a full Expert-tier show from creation through registration, check-in, judging, People's Choice, and awards, with a new Video tab on the guides page to find it.
